Next up: Ten-Pin Bowling, Thursday 27 August

The Cup rolls on. After Blue lifted the first Newman Shield on the football pitch, the next round is decided on the lanes - ten-pin bowling, Thursday 27 August, 11am to 2pm, at the Qatar Bowling Federation in Al Bidda.

Everyone is welcome - families included

This one is not just for the five sections. Bring your families. There will be an adults' competition and a separate children's competition running alongside the team event, so nobody is standing around holding coats.

Gold, Silver, Blue, Red and Keyboard Athletico all field teams, and prizes go to the first, second and third placed sections.

It takes a moment and it asks two things that matter: whether you are bowling or spectating, and whether you are coming as a team member or family. Lane bookings and lunch numbers both come out of those answers.

Food and cost

It is hoped a buffet lunch can be provided for a small cost. Funding has been requested for those who pay into the welfare fund; for everyone else the event is self-funded, kept to a minimum, and the final figure depends on how many people come.
