The challenge as it ran
A step challenge for the month of August - 1 to 31 August inclusive.
Normally I would have done the challenge first and set you a target to beat. For this one I am doing it alongside you, as I did not start stepping a month ago.
I will post my running total on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th so you can see whether you are ahead or behind me.
How to take part
- Sign up here, then get stepping. All you need is a smart watch or phone that counts your steps.
- Report your total once, on 1 September. Not before, and not after 3 September.
- Everyone who enters scores points, whether you beat Piers or not.
Please remember I am a 54-year-old office dweller with an arthritic hip. Meaning? I am not going to be hard to beat, so there is no excuse for not getting involved.
